I’m a sophomore student journalist at Towson University, where I work as News Editor at an independent, student-run newspaper called The Towerlight

I’ve interviewed university officials, state delegates, an attorney general and a congressman. I talk with students and community leaders every day about events happening on our campus, in our community and in our state.

If I’m not in The Towerlight office, I’m usually telling myself that I like running, hiking, or, and this is the most likely — spending too much time on twitter.

I spend my summers working with Appalachia Service Project. Along with three other college students, I live in an Appalachian community somewhere for 7 weeks, planning and managing emergency home repair construction projects, while also meeting some incredible people, crazy kids and an abundance of puppies.

Me and two kids that I got the privilege of working with and for summer of 2014.
